Put
it in the center of the room.
Because,
no doubt, it will be the center of attention.
Few things
provide so much "fun service" in so many ways as a 3-in-1 table. And no
3-in-1 table, to our knowledge, gives you so much for your money as this
Stratford 3-in-1 Table.
Why
a 3-in-1? First, any "fun room" needs some kind of table for snacks
and drinks ... and, of course, a place to play the occasional game of
Scrabble or Monopoly. Second, playing cards is an entertainment "staple"
of American life ... and a cloth-covered table with cork-lined drink holders,
poker chip trays and defined play areas is more than just nice to have
when company comes. And third, having an all-ages attraction like a Bumper
Pool table -- complete with cues and balls -- can all but make a rec room.
Now ...
how else could you get all of this in the space of 48" (the width of the
Stratford table top)?
Why
a Stratford 3-in-1 table? Because it's designed so well ... and the
execution of that design is accomplished equally as well. (And, believe
us, we've seen some failures over the years.)
Very
critically, none of the 3 tables it provides its owners is a compromise.
It's an excellent dining table in its own right -- if you never used it
for anything else, you wouldn't be disappointed. The card table, too,
is every bit the full-featured poker table you'd expect to find in a high-end
furniture store. And the Bumper Pool game is built with regulation-grade
components, precision positioned as they should be, just as you'd find
in good quality bumper pool tables. All said, no compromises.
The materials,
craftsmanship, and attention to detail are also evident throughout Stratford
tables. Exceptionally thick solid oak construction (no skimping here!),
shaped & beveled legs with ball claw feet, threaded floor levelers, quality
card table and bumper pool components, and a full complement of accessories
(cues, balls, chalk, brush ... the works).
What
are the negatives? Few. Shipping weight is healthy, approximately
195 pounds (which, on the positive side, is testimony to the quality materials.)
It takes about 45 minutes to assemble (assuming one person who has never
done it before -- not understated, we've timed it ourselves.) And, like
any quality furniture, you should occasionally wipe the finish down and
treat it with a good quality furniture polish.
