, a part of Shelti Inc. strength, heritage, and most of all, games made by players for players.  The factory Shelti occupies has been making Arcade quality games for over 65 years!
That’s right, the first 50 years of its life, the company that would become Shelti made the highest quality Pool Tables enjoyed by players worldwide.

In 2001, 50 years after the first coin-operated slate pool table rolled off the line at Valley Recreation Products in Bay City Michigan, the operations in Bay City were reborn as a new company, Shelti Inc. Created by former Valley staff with a passion for quality Pool Tables, Foosball Tables and Air Hockey Tables, Shelti was destined for greatness.  This spirit crafting quality game tables, continues today with most products made in the Bay City Michigan factory. It all adds up to Shelti being a force in the game table industry.  Shelti’s initial offering was a coin-operated pool table. The new company also knew it could answer player’s requests for a European style arcade Foosball Table that would compete head to head with Tornado Foosball, so they embarked on a foosball game design effort.

Spirited design sessions ensued; with many iterations of design and engineering. What’s better? A 3-man Foosball Goal or single man goal? Is triple Foosball cabinet construction over-kill?  How much heft and weight to build in to withstand hard play?  Foosball goals were scored when the Shelti Pro Foos III competition grade soccer table was made available for taverns as a coin-operated model and later to serious Foosball players and Foosball Tournament pros without the need for coins. Shelti’s Pro Foos III Foosball Table was a huge success, and the line grew quickly to include additional Foosball Tables, Air Hockey games and a lineup of Bubble Hockey - Dome Hockey - Rod Hockey Tables.

No other table game manufacturer can lay claim to Shelti’s construction methods, the fact that Air Hockey games include electronic scoring at no additional charge, or that the games are counterparts to those found in pool halls and taverns across America, as well as games for military bases, schools and colleges and social clubs.

In 2010, Shelti was purchased by former national air hockey champion Mark Robbins. With renewed vigor, the company began seriously evaluating the features of the current game lineup and anticipating what future customers want in a game table. Although Air Hockey is Mr. Robbins passion, he has a keen sense of the table games industry, and how to build fun into a coin op and rec room game that lasts. Today, “Shelti Inc. builds recreational games for the home and sophisticated electronic games for the coin-op industry including the Blue-lineTM Air Hockey, Pro FoosTM foosball table, BaysideTM pool tables and Shelti Eye2 electronic dartboard., as part of Shelti, strives for customer service.
