What are counter-balanced men?
The above photo shows counterbalanced men in a horizontal position. If your men are not counterbalanced, the only way to get them out of your way is by turning them upside-down.

The higher end tables have what are called Counterbalanced men. These men have a weight in their head that makes their head weigh as much as their feet. This allows your men to stay in the position you left them in when you let go of the handle. If your men are not counterbalanced, the weight of their feet will make them fall getting in your way when you want that clear shot from your goalie rods.

What are the differences in the legs?
Boot Style Leveling
Threaded Leveling
This type of leg has a rubber boot that attaches to the bottom of the leg. You will receive a stack of wood chimes that are used to balance the table. To balance the table you simply take off the rubber boot and place the wood chimes into the bottom, then replace the boot. This method takes a little longer, but is just as effective as pool style levelers. This type of leveling has a threaded foot on the bottom of the leg. Simply screw the foot up or down to desired height for leveling. This method is quicker and easier for one person to accomplish.

What advantages will I gain with a thicker cabinet?

With a thicker cabinet you will gain strength and weight. The 1-1/2 inch cabinets will gain that extra 1/2" of support making your table stronger and letting it last longer. The extra thickness also makes the table weigh more, which will give you more stability when you are playing 2 on 2. The thinner "lighter" cabinets will tend to move when 4 adults get banging around on it.

Why do most of your tables have a 3-man goalie?

To all you foosers who remember the days of the one man goalie and the ramped corners, unfortunately those days are gone. The tournaments and pro players have now adopted the 3-man goalie system. The three-man goalie rod speeds up play and allows your defense to be more offensive.
